Step Up To Quality

STEP UP TO QUALITY

Student photoIn a joint effort, the Ohio Department of Education and the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services created and administer a five-star quality rating and improvement system called Step Up To Quality (SUTQ). The tiered quality program identifies and promotes learning and development programs that meet program benchmarks that exceed preschool and school-age childcare licensing regulations for health and safety.

Participation in the SUTQ program is mandatory for all Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Preschool Special Education (PSE) programs receiving funds through the Ohio Department of Education. These programs must achieve a rating of 3, 4, or 5 to maintain state funding.

The District's preschool takes great pride in earning a five-star Step Up To Quality rating for three years! For more information on SUTQ, visit the Ohio Department of Education's Step Up To Quality website.
